A special thanks to Barry & Denise Brooks and their entire Picnic team for an awesome event. The picnic was planned to create fun activities for the young and young at heart. On Sunday, July 31st, the picnic took place at the Oak Grove Pavilion, MetroParks located in Brecksville Ohio, at the large pavilion and surrounding picnic area. Children (and a few adults) were treated to a snow cone machine and creative face painting.
One favorite event was the piñata competition and it was as fierce as ever. Children from 2-12 were delighted with the treats that burst from the decorative piñata and adults supported them all, to be the champion with the “best swing of all”. The candy was shared with all.
There was something for everyone…. From the bounce house, video game truck to tether baseball for the youngest. The young at heart played dominoes and participated in match game and a spelling bee.
The food and fellowship was fantastic and everyone in attendance, members & guests were able to sit, talk and laugh for hours.
According to Denise, you will not want to miss next year’s picnic, which will be on Sunday, July 23rd, 2017. There will be a Rock Wall and a bungee game, along with the usual great food and fellowship & the fun games present at this year’s picnic.
