jerome hurstHello Family,

Time is one of the most valuable yet elusive commodities that we possess in life. It is valuable in that it is useful yet irreplaceable. It is elusive in that we have no way of knowing how much time we have. That is why, at the beginning of this New Year, I encourage you to use your time wisely and not to waste time. Time is the only commodity, once wasted, that cannot be regained. So today, I am suggesting to you that it's about time.

It's about time to take that step in your life that you have been dreaming about. It about time that you move to the next level in your relationship with God. It's about time that you embark on the guidance of the Holy Spirit and do the things that God has plainly told you to do. It's about time that you stop wasting, squandering or ignoring your gifts and talents and begin using them for the glory of God and the benefit of your family and the world. It's about time to make a move in your life that you have been resisting that will be to your benefit. It's about time for you to embrace yourself in the fullness of all that God has created you to be without fear or concern of what others may think. It's about time to start something new and different in your life. It's about time for a change.

Frederick Douglas said, "Time is impartial, just and certain in its actions." If we accept this as true, then we must acknowledge that each of us has a certain amount of time to accomplish what has been set before us. Since we do not know how much time that is, it would behoove all of us to redeem the time...to take advantage of every minute of time that we have to live life to the fullest. We must love freely and fully. We must work fervently and faithfully. We must create intensely and prolifically. We must build expansively and substantially.

Most importantly, we must pray feverishly and consistently and trust hopefully and expectantly. The only limits that are placed on your ability to use your time wisely and effectively are the ones that you acknowledge and accept. Today is the day and now is the time...to begin...at the start of this New Year, to utilize your time as never before. You can achieve and accomplish so much more if you will but recognize that it's about time.

Praying for God's abundance, grace and mercy for you in the New Year,

--
