Hello Family, Persistence is not giving up, no matter the circumstances. Being persistent is being determined to achieve your desired outcome, no matter how things look. Far too many of us fail to achieve our goals, not because we lack the ability, but because we quit before we are able to see it through to its fulfillment.
Persistence requires patience and perseverance. We must be willing to P.U.S.H...that is Pray Until Something Happens. We cannot pray once and expect God to respond like an ATM machine. ATM machines are designed for one time immediate use. In fact, most ATM machines have a daily limit as to what you can get from them. God, however desires regular frequent connection. The more you go to God, the deeper your relationship. You can go to God all day or all night long, and God will continue to respond. That is the power of persistence. If we are persistent in our prayers, God will be consistent in responding.
Are you persistent in your prayer life? Do you talk to God daily? Many people have asked the question, "How often should I pray?" My answer to this question is simple: "How often do you want to be blessed?" How many mornings do you want to wake up to new opportunities and new blessings? Our prayer lives should be as persistent as the ever-present blessings of God. So, if you are grateful for your blessings, or if you need or desire something from the Lord, be persistent in your prayers, and God will make it happen for you.
In Persistent Faith,
Pastor J.M. Hurst
