Congratulations to Mariana Castaneda who recently received a Fellowship Scholarship award with the Cleveland Institute of Music. She has been playing the flute for eight years and dreams of becoming a professional musician, teacher, and through the Fellowship award, hopes to "gain more love and understanding of all types of music."
Mariana, along with three other fellows, are immersed in the pre-college curriculum of the CIM Preparatory Department where they will receive weekly one-on-one instruction from CIM Preparatory faculty members. The fellows will also participate in ensembles, music theory, and Eurhythmics classes. Over the course of the year, the fellows will present public performances, and attend master classes and workshops. Mariana has received a full scholarship covering all areas of study in the MPF program, and is partnered with CIM conservatory students as practice and academic partners. Southeast applauds you, Mariana!
