jerome hurst Hello Family,

Because it's Women's Day at Southeast, I have been reflecting on the lives of some of the amazing women of God who have so profoundly impacted my life. Beginning with my mother Alyce Celeste Hurst, my grandmother Hurley Mildred Phillips, and my amazing wife Carolyn LaVerne Hurst, then moving on to the countless others who have poured into my life from treasure trove of their wisdom, their knowledge, their love, and their spiritual resources. Their love, their lives and their lessons have impacted my life enormously for good and for God, and I will never forget them.

Think for a moment...who were the mighty women of God who impacted and changed your life? Begin with the ones who raised you, taught you, fed you, blessed you, loved you, hugged you, helped you and healed you. Remember the women who added peace and joy and hope to your life...the ones who told you that you could, when you thought you couldn't and who told you that you were, when others said you weren't. These are the amazing women that we celebrate on this Women's Day. For, if we are honest, we can all say that we've had some Sojourner Truths and some Harriet Tubmans in our lives. All of us know that there have been some Fannie Lou Hamers, and some Nannie Helen Burroughs in our lives, who have pushed and prodded us to our destiny.

Who are the mighty women who have blessed your life? Remember them today and allow them to live in you as you show forth their examples of love and righteousness.
