Hello Family,

The Biblical accounts of the birth of Jesus all include a number of stories of those who first worshiped the Lord. The angels, the shepherds, and the wise men all knew that it was both appropriate and important to worship Jesus.

Today, we are living in a society where worship attendance in Christian churches is at an all-time low. Not since the pioneer period have Americans spent so little time in houses of worship. In fact, recent studies have shown that on any given Sunday in America, about 17.7 percent of the population can be found worshiping in Christian churches. This represents a significant drop from the 40 percent counted just 25 years ago.

The reality is many people today do not recognize the importance of worshiping God. Priorities have shifted and many things now take precedence over worship. The word of God is clear in regard to the need to and the importance of worship. Somehow the church must reach the unchurched with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As we do, more and more people will learn the importance of worshiping the Lord.

What are you doing to share the message of Jesus with others? If you are like most of us, you could do more. I pray that you will take some time during this season of celebration to share with someone the blessing of a relationship with Jesus Christ. Who knows, they may end up in church worshiping beside you next Sunday.
