Smoke Free Proclamation
Pastor Jerome Hurst and the Southeast Seventh-day Adventist Church has been a faithful supporter of the American Heart Association~~American Stroke Association Empowered To Serve initiatives for the past 2 years. www.empoweredtoserve.org
Southeast Seventh-day Adventist Church where he serves as senior pastor, has implemented the blood pressure management program, Check. Change. Control; in addition the Southeast Seventh-day healthcare ministry continues to educate and care for its members with tools, health lessons and techniques shared by AHA/ASA.
Recently Pastor Hurst, Southeast Seventh-day Adventist Church, and The Allegheny West Conference joined AHA/ASA in proclaiming thier campuses smoke free. Pastor Hurst not only serves as senior pastor of Southeast but also as the Community Service Director for Allegheny West Conference. The AWC has a membership of 12,000 with 66 plus congregations within the Great Rivers Affiliate region. Please join me in congratulating Pastor Jerome Hurst for taking a giant step in creating a healthier community!
