On Sunday, May 21, 2017, the Northern Ohio Women‟s Ministries (NOWM) held its 7th Annual Tea in Brooklyn, OH. The event featured the play, "Journey of Womanhood‟ presented by CrossRoad Play Productions and a luncheon.
The highlight of this event was the presenta tion of a $2,000 check to Haggai Temple Orphanage, the ministry of Chrystelle Yuma Sakina. Haggai Temple Orphanage was built by Chrystelle Yuma Sakina and is located in the Republic of Congo, where she was born. The funds were donated through her nonprofit African clothing line, “CYS Couture,” where 100% of the proceeds go to Haggai Temple.
The NOWM is committed to giving back to youth through a new initiative called “Bloom,” which is a mentoring/scholarship program for young ladies from the ages of 13-25. Through the process of this fundraiser, the ministry gives back to the community by choosing a nonprofit to donate funds to each year. This year NOWM donated $2,000 with the help of Keybank matching funds. Congratulations, Chrystelle!
