Last week July 4, 2020 we kicked off a 4-week sermon series entitled, “The Gift”. Over the next three weeks we are going to talk about how Jesus comes and finds you.
God accounts for everything that you will ever need before you are born (Romans 12:3 each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.). That measure of faith is a seed that God spends our lives cultivating and protecting while the enemy spends the time trying to suppress it and destroy it. That’s why in Luke 15:17, the prodigal son “came to himself.” What God had already placed in him was awakened by situation. The Holy Spirit was always pleading. The circumstances had to occur in which the man could recognize God’s calling. In short, God comes for what He has already placed in us. He appeals to that seed of righteousness preplanned to awaken us out of our sleep. The distinct call from God will make us drop our water pot like the woman at the well (John 4:28) and experience the joy of realizing God can deliver us from our bondage.
