On Monday, Feb 15th Southeast sponsored a CPR/AED training course, which followed the guidelines of the American Heart Association. For more than 2 ½ hours, participants were educated on life saving measures for adults, children and infants.

The 18 members in the class were taught how to use the AED that Southeast purchased for the safety and well being of our members and visitors. Participants were also able to ask questions in a fun, friendly atmosphere. Everyone present used the equipment and became comfortable in the role of a layman rescuer. All participants successfully completed the course and were awarded a 2-year certificate in CPR/AED training.

Southeast is one of the few facilities in the area equipped with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and we will be sponsoring CPR/AED training on a regular basis. We encourage our members to take advantage of the course.
