jerome hurstGood Day Family,

How often have you said, "I wish that I hadn't done that" in relation to an experience in your life? Many of us regret things that we have done or that have been done to us, looking at them as negative or wasted experiences. However, the Apostle Paul suggests a different perspective on the experiences of the lives of believers, whether positive or negative. In Romans 8:28, Paul shares this affirmation: "For we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose."

What Paul is suggesting to us is that we must seek God's purpose and plan for every experience and situation in our lives, both past and present. not feel that any experience in your life was wasted...whether powerful, painful or pointless. Everything has a purpose. Each experience in your life is to be for God's glory and your blessing and benefit.

So, if you have made a mistake, learn from it and help others to avoid it. If you have gained wisdom...share it. If you've been hurt, grow from it and help others in similar hurtful circumstances. If you have failed, use your experience as a life lesson that can be a blessing to others. If you have gained insight, allow it to be a blessing to someone else and use it to glorify God.

God makes no mistakes and wastes no time. It's time to be about the business of experiencing the good that God desires to come forth from the experiences of your life.

Living in joyful expectation,

Pastor Jerome M. Hurst
