On Sabbath, April 24, 2021, a group of faithful from Southeast donned masks and comfortable shoes, practiced social distancing and set out walking throughout the community. These warriors for Christ passed out literature, prayed with individuals and encouraged them during the “I Will Go!” personal ministry outreach.
Coordinated by Veronica Felix, Personal Ministries Leader, this event is the first evangelistic effort that returned the church to participating in ministry beyond walls. The mission of this event was praying, lifting up Jesus and demonstrating Hope Beyond Covid-19, which has kept so many isolated for over a year.
The event also concludes the month-long series, “My Sister’s Keeper,” which was a beautiful tribute to the faith and strength of women in the bible and it also emphasized the importance of being our Sister’s and our Brother’s Keeper in this day and time. The event I Will Go! was the perfect experience to end cap the series.
A special thank you to Pastor Hood, Elder Hood and all of the participants who prepared well and worked hard to bring the congregation these important and timely programs and messages. You are greatly appreciated!
